Meet the tree
The Amalfi citron connects the collection with the citrus-growing landscapes of the Amalfi Coast. It is a citron, Citrus medica, and should be distinguished from the coast’s celebrated Sfusato Amalfitano lemon.
Its fruit can be rounded or pear-shaped, with a substantial aromatic rind. The peel is central to its culinary interest, especially in the tradition of candied citrus.
